From Local Roots to Global Impact
ALZAHRA’s international vision is built on experience.
The organization was originally established in Afghanistan in 2009 and continued its work in Canada from 2019. Across these stages, ALZAHRA has implemented more than 40 projects supporting women, youth, immigrants, refugees, seniors, newcomers, and communities through sport, wellness, entrepreneurship, leadership, arts, and social inclusion.
This experience provides a strong foundation for the organization’s next chapter: connecting local knowledge and community experience with international collaboration and global opportunities.

Our international engagement has included participation in global conferences and platforms such as the United Nations ECOSOC Conference, Islamic Development Bank Conference, MOVE Congress Denmark, and the World Summit for Social Development in Qatar.
These experiences help us build relationships, exchange knowledge, and identify opportunities for future collaboration.
